The author reviews teh results of recent studies of the habitat, breeding and feeding habits viruses and flight behaviour of the bat fauna of Unganda. Some bats breed seasonally either once or twice a year whereas others breed aseasonally thoughout the year. Fruit bats fultil the roel of both polination and eed dispersal. Some of the basts of Unganda act as hosts to viruses anda, as such, ate important from the aspect of public health studies
