É com grande alegria e satisfação que anunciamos a toda a comunidade espeleológica que o Brasil será a sede do 19º Congresso Internacional de Espeleologia. O evento, que ocorre sob a tutela da União Internacional de Espeleologia, marcará também o seu sexagésimo aniversário. A cidade escolhida para sediar o evento mais importante da espeleologia mundial foi Belo Horizonte, coração da espeleologia brasileira, que conta com infraestrutura aeroviária e rodoviária que permite acessar a maior parte das regiões cársticas do Brasil.
